Richmond Artists I

This year we have established a whole school collaborative Art Programme that integrates our R.I.S.E theme through a range of artistic teaching and learning opportunities. 

We began by taking inspiration from Pablo Picasso to create our self portraits. This was our term one journey. 

Step One: Recognise who we are.

  

Whaea Sharon introduced Picasso and his artwork named Girl with a Boat - a painting of Picasso's little daughter Maya. Children identified the shapes and how he used these to create an image.Children then used shapes to create a face which they turned into a self port.
